Action is an essential component of Bamboo - putting the Bamboo principles into practice. As a member, you can choose how you want to engage, depending on your preference and current circumstances. You might already have lots of ways you're living out the Bamboo principles and being part of Bamboo might be a way of connecting with others who share the same commitment and values. Or you might be seeking new ways to give expression to your values.

Here are some possibilities for you as a member of the Bamboo community

  1. be part of a Bamboo group in your local area:
You might be looking to share at a more personal level about your experiences and your efforts to live according to the Bamboo principles – a face-to-face group might be what you're after. Joining with others and committing to shared action might be what you're seeking from Bamboo - this could happen through your local Bamboo group. Groups might coordinate their efforts at times for international action.

To be part of a face-to-face you need to commit to regular meetings.

Face-to-face groups meet as a small group at regular intervals eg monthly (to be determined by the group). These groups foster contemplation, conversation and action - the specifics of what happens and the focus are a matter for the local group to decide.
